Job Information

The Landscape Architecture & Environmental / Urban Design at Florida International University is seeking adjunct instructors to teach in the lower or upper division design studio sequence of a LAAB accredited Master of Landscape Architecture Program.

Instructors are expected to hold 2 hours a week of office hours. Design studio instructors teach in coordinated studios with other faculty or individually.

Each instructor oversees a studio section of approximately 12-18 students. Instructors meet with students in an open studio at the FIU Paul L. Cejas School of Architecture Building (PCA) or at the FIU Miami Beach Urban Studio (MBUS).

Instructors are expected to guide the design work of each student with critiques, sketches, lectures and group reviews.

Please note that this pool is open for the 2024-2025 academic year and is reviewed based on departmental needs. Screening of applications will occur as positions become available and continue until positions are filled.

Minimum Qualifications

Primary Instructor :

• Master\'s Degree in Landscape Architecture or equivalent.
• Three to five years of professional or teaching experience.
