Position Summary : Perform sales and account management functions, such as selling, merchandising, and servicing all Eagle Rock Distributing Company products.
The focus of this job is on achieving accurate and timely results that support established organizational standards. Drive, determination, and taking responsibility for assuring company policies and procedures are correctly followed are necessary qualities for successful job performance.
The job environment is structured and job expectations are well defined, supported by job training and on the job experience.
While the pace of the work is faster than average, the timeliness and quality of results is never compromised. An active, positive response to a variety of challenges and time pressures is also required.
The nature of the work requires quick decision-making, based on knowledge of pertinent information and an intention to reduce risk factors as much as possible.
Careful, critical analysis of new ideas or innovations is important to assure any changes align with and support established practices.
Firm decisions that support established policies and procedures need to be implemented in an authoritative manner.
The job requires getting things done quickly and handling a variety of activities within a well-defined job scope. Because of the fast pace of the work, it is important that job related knowledge and responsibilities be learned and mastered quickly and thoroughly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
1. Solicit products in a defined route area while operating a company vehicle.
- Product is counted and ordered in each account into a laptop using the Mobility software package.
- Manage, rotate, and maintain a neat inventory in each account.
- Secure shelf space and tap handles equal to or greater than market share.
- Must sell sufficient product inventory to eliminate out-of-stock situations
2. Seek and develop positive working relationships with our retail partners.
- Identify new opportunities to grow our existing portfolio
- Develop and implement sales promotions to encourage distribution and product growth
- Establish a close working relationship with all retail partners
3. Responsible for ensuring marketing and sales support materials are displayed in each retail outlet.
- Secure the best possible selling position for our products (including primary displays, coolers, etc.)
- Place all brand POS materials including neons, glassware, paper goods, and display enhancers in order to establish a look of the leader .
4. Conduct special promotions within accounts to increase brands sales.
Call on account to establish sales promotions thru displays, give-aways, and samplings
5. Maintain strong lines of communication with Driver to execute daily duties and merchandising expections.
6. Operate company vehicle safely and according to policy.
7. Actively supports the Company’s mission and vision philosophy.

- Maintains security and confidentiality of all Company information.
8. Understands and complies with all Eagle Rock Distributing Company policies and procedures.
Qualifications :
Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Subject to all Company policies regarding all employment testing, including drug screen.
- Three to five years of beer selling experience preferred
- Must have a current, valid driver’s license and be insurable
Skills
- Strong sales and customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong knowledge of product characteristics
- Ability to distinguish between brands through taste testing / sampling
- Ability to speak clearly, read, write, and understand the English language
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Requires the ability to work independently, exercising sound judgement and initiative.
- Ability to deal with problems involving multiple solutions in standardized situations.
Physical Demands and Requirements :
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit with frequent bending, walking or standing.
- Must be able to talk and hear to communicate with both internal and external customers.
Environmental Conditions and Temperaments :
- Job duties are performed inside and outside an office building with a moderate noise level.
- Must present and maintain a positive, professional attitude and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and customers while performing the duties.
