Assistant Director – Behavioral Health (RN)

Location : Saint Louis, MO- Relocation offered.

Join a leading behavioral health facility offering a supportive, patient-centered environment.

This 46-bed hospital provides specialized care for Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry, including ECT services.

Schedule : Days + Management Call

Requirements :

  • Active RN License
  • Minimum 2 years RN experience with leadership and behavioral health background

    • Preferred :

  • 5 years RN experience, with 2–5 years in leadership
  • Master’s degree in Nursing or related field

    • Role Summary

    The Assistant Director is responsible for the operational and clinical management of designated psychiatric units on a 24-hour basis. This includes overseeing nursing staff, ensuring high standards of patient care, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide clinical and administrative leadership for nursing and support teams within psychiatric services.
  • Manage hiring, training, and performance of clinical staff.
  • Develop and manage departmental staffing and budgets to meet operational goals.
  • Ensure delivery of safe, evidence-based, and high-quality patient care.
  • Promote compliance with policies, procedures, and professional standards.
  • Drive initiatives to improve patient satisfaction, outcomes, and team engagement.
  • Support growth and efficiency within existing and new behavioral health programs.

    • Qualifications :

  • Education : Nursing Diploma or Associate’s (minimum); BSN or MSN preferred
  • Experience : 2–5 years (minimum), 5–10 years preferred
  • Leadership : 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred
  • License : RN (required)
