Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) What Winning in This Role Looks Like : - Deliver quality and compassionate care to every patient - Guide parents and patients through our process before treatment - Educate patients in oral hygiene and provide postoperative instructions - Prepare patients for examination and treatment - Take x-rays and save to patient charts - Ensure the operational readiness of clinical rooms - Prepare tray set-ups for dental procedures - Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment - Clean chairs and rooms - Assist professional dental staff with treatment Required Qualifications : - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of an accredited EFDA program - Valid EFDA certification and Tennessee dental assistant license - Current CPR certification - Minimum of 3 years of experience as a dental assistant - Proficiency in dental radiography, knowledge of dental charting, and electronic health records - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Compassionate and patient-centered approach Preferred Qualifications : - Certification in sealant application, coronal polishing, or other specialized procedures - Experience with pediatric dentistry and previous experience in a busy dental practice 2.
