Job Overview :

As the Vice President of Finance, you will play a key role in providing strategic leadership and direction, fostering a collaborative culture, and driving operational excellence across the organization.

This pivotal role involves shaping and executing the company's strategic initiatives to drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence.

As a Vice President of Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the financial operations of the company.

This position plays a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy, driving profitability, and ensuring the organization's financial stability and growth.

The VP of Finance will lead a team of financial professionals and collaborate with various departments to achieve financial objectives and support overall business goals.

As a key leader, you will play a crucial role in fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture that aligns with Leslie’s vision and values.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Analyze financial performance and market trends to provide valuable insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain and optimize financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Prepare and present timely and accurate financial reports to the executive team, board of directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify opportunities for cost optimization, revenue enhancement, and risk management.
  • Oversee cash flow planning and management to maintain liquidity and meet financial obligations.
  • Manage relationships with banking partners and other financial institutions.
  • Optimize working capital and investment strategies.
  • Assess and manage financial risks, including credit, market, operational, and liquidity risks.
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Supervise and coordinate financial reporting, tax, and treasury functions.
  • Monitor and improve financial systems, processes, and procedures for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies that optimize the organization's tax position while ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Oversee all tax planning, reporting, and filing activities, including income tax, sales tax, and other tax-related matters.
  • Collaborate with external tax advisors and authorities as necessary to resolve tax-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant accounting standards in financial reporting.
  • Stay up to date with changes in accounting principles, tax laws, and reporting regulations to ensure the organization's adherence to best practices.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets and prevent fraud.
  • Provide strong leadership to the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Mentor and develop finance professionals to enhance their skills and contributions.
  • Participate in due diligence and financial analysis for potential acquisitions and partnerships.
  • Oversee financial integration and post-acquisition activities.
  • Develop and implement long-term strategies to advance company objectives and drive growth.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effective resource management, while monitoring performance metrics and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead, build, and mentor a high-performing team based on collaboration, innovation, and performance, fostering a culture aligned with Leslie’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration within the department and with other departments.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; Master's degree or CPA preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, preferably in a large organization or corporate setting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and relevant regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Demonstrated track record in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience in mergers, acquisitions, and strategic financial projects.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the capability to drive organizational change and innovation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
