Overall Purpose

Oversees one or more Salesforce engineering teams responsible for designing, developing, documenting, testing, deploying, and maintaining solutions on the Salesforce platform.

Mentors and coaches team members, collaborates with other engineering managers and stakeholders, and ensures the quality, security, and performance of delivered Salesforce solutions.

Essential Functions

  • Manage the full lifecycle of Salesforce development projects, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
  • Lead the design and implementation of complex Salesforce solutions, using best practices and industry standards.
  • Oversee code reviews, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of Salesforce applications.
  • Ensure compliance with internally defined and industry-standard security, governance, and performance guidelines.
  • Provide technical guidance and feedback to team members, and foster a culture of inclusion, learning and innovation.
  • Collaborate with other engineering managers, product managers, business analysts, and end users to deliver high-value solutions to our customers, consumers, and users.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in the Salesforce ecosystem and evaluate new tools and frameworks for future adoption.
  • Supports the company’s commitment to risk management and protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Salesforce development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or lead role.
  • Experience in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, SOSL, and REST / SOAP APIs.
  • Experience with Salesforce APIs, integration tools, and data migration.
  • Experience with managed packages and other 3rd-party Salesforce components.
  • Experience with Salesforce development tools, such as VS Code, SFDX, Git, CI / CD, etc.
  • Experience with Salesforce products and features, such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Community Cloud, Einstein Analytics, etc.
  • One or more Salesforce certifications.
  • Experience with agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Background and drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Platform Developer I certification.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
  • UI / UX development experience based on Salesforce Experience Cloud.

Physical Requirements

Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours.

Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling and reaching. Must be able to lift 15 pounds occasionally and / or negligible amount of force frequently.

Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers.

Requires the ability to communicate with internal and / or external customers.

Employee must be able to perform essential functions and physical requirements of position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Compensation

The pay scale for this position in :

  • Phoenix, AZ / Chicago, IL in USD per year is : $140,000 - $165,000.
  • San Francisco, CA in USD per year is : $160,000 - 190,000.

Early Warning Services takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining a competitive salary offer, including, but not limited to, the job scope, market rates and geographic location of a position, candidate’s education, experience, training, and specialized skills or certification(s) in relation to the job requirements and compared with internal equity (peers).
