Job Description
The ideal candidate will be board eligible / certified and have had comprehensive training and skills in the full spectrum of adult cardiovascular surgery.
Interest and expertise in cardiac transplantation and mechanical circulatory support is important. In addition to playing a key role in the MUSC Heart & Vascular Center, the candidate will also actively participate in the cardiac surgery program at the Ralph H Johnson VA Medical Center.
Successful candidates will demonstrate promise in the areas of clinical medicine, teaching and translational research.
Minimum Requirements : MD or MD equivalent, board eligible / certified
Clinical Faculty MUSC Physical Requirements (Note : The following descriptions are applicable to this section : Continuous - 6-8 hours per shift;
Frequent - 2-6 hours per shift; Infrequent - 0-2 hours per shift)

Additional New Requirements : Ability to maintain a valid drivers license. Computer literacy. Ability to work rotating shifts.
