Project Director
The Project Director will direct, lead, promote and administer applied health policy research initiatives for the Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center (GRC).
The Project Director will design, implement, and lead evaluation, workforce development, and technical assistance projects for state-sponsored efforts and provide subject matter expertise on health policy, research design and interpretation, and program implementation.
- Project responsibilities include maintaining relationships with project sponsors and partners, as well as building new partner relationships;
- leading the development and execution of project goals and activities; guiding the activities of project teams, including project managers, researchers, consultants, and subcontractors;
providing professional development and coaching to direct reports and project team members; project development, including grant and proposal writing, and directing qualitative and quantitative health policy research projects.
Additionally, the selected candidate will serve as a member of the GRC Leadership Team, supervise project management staff, and may serve as a Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator for selected projects.
Minimum Education Required
Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent is required.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of five years of relevant experience with a bachelors degree or three years of relevant experience with an advanced degree is required.
Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
Additional Desired Qualifications
Eight to twelve years of relevant experience is preferred. Experience supervising project management staff and / or leading multi-disciplinary teams is preferred.
Training and / or experience in leading research and evaluation methodology including survey design or a mixed methods approach to evaluation is preferred.
Experience in behavioral health and / or maternal and child health program implementation and / or evaluation is preferred.
