Paris Bar , a newly opened French restaurant by restaurateur Shelly Fireman and the Fireman Hospitality Group, invites you to become a key player in our kitchen. Nestled within the elegant Le Meridien hotel near Carnegie Hall and Central Park, we are dedicated to crafting an exceptional dining experiences that blends classic and contemporary French cuisine with unparalleled hospitality.

We're searching for a highly motivated and experienced Sous Chef to be one of the Executive Chef's right hand. If you're passionate about French culinary traditions and ready to lead a talented team, this is your opportunity to contribute to a thriving and expanding culinary environment.

What You'll Do :

As our Sous Chef, you'll be instrumental in our kitchen's success, focusing on :

  • Culinary Excellence : Collaborate with the Executive Chef on all kitchen operations and menu development , ensuring our commitment to traditional French cuisine shines through every dish.
  • Team Leadership : Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff , ensuring efficient and seamless operations during service.
  • Operational Efficiency : Manage inventory, order supplies , and monitor stock levels to maintain peak kitchen efficiency.
  • Quality & Safety : Enforce strict adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations , upholding our high standards.
  • Team Development : Train and mentor junior kitchen staff , fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

What You'll Bring :

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a high-volume kitchen.
  • Extensive knowledge of French culinary techniques and ingredients.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and a keen eye for detail.
  • The ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to a dynamic kitchen environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Formal culinary training is a plus, but your experience and passion are most important!
