Billing Specialist - Coding & Charge Entry
The Resource is hiring a Billing Specialist (Code & Charge Entry) for our client, a medical clinic, located in Winston-Salem, NC! This is a permanent, Direct-Hire opportunity that offers a pay rate of $20.
00 per hour, and has a 1st shift schedule (8 : 00am-4 : 00pm). The primary responsibilities for this role includes to charge entry of patient records to meet strict deadlines for claims submission.
This involves charge entry of records for multiple facilities by entering demographic and insurance information, CPT, ICD-10, and Quality Measure codes, provider names, anesthesia start and stop times, etc.
This position is also responsible for coding of services rendered. This involves reviewing patient medical records from facilities for proper documentation and assigning correct CPT, ICD-10, and Quality Measure codes to meet strict deadlines for charge posting and claims submission.
Ideal candidates for this role should have proven experience as a Billing Specialist with a focus on Charge Entry and Coding and have in-depth knowledge of current coding regulations, including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS.

Responsibilities :
- Charge Entry of Anesthesia Charges
- Charge Entry of Quality Measures of Medical Records
- Review of documentation to determine compliance
- Accurately enter and process charges related to specific services into the billing system
- Review documentation to ensure completeness and compliance with coding guidelines
- Assign appropriate codes to procedures and services in accordance with current coding regulations and guidelines
- Conduct regular audits to identify and correct coding errors, ensuring compliance with industry standards
Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a Billing Specialist with a focus on Charge Entry and Coding
- In-depth knowledge of current coding regulations, including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS
- Familiarity with specific industry billing practices and requirements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in charge entry and coding processes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in using billing and coding software
