We are looking for an HR Generalist to provide HR support to our Plainville, CT site. You will work closely with the North American Manufacturing HR Business Partner to help drive and ensure successful adoption of various HR initiatives, talent strategies, and related.

Primary areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to : employee relations, employee engagement and retention, performance management, recruiting, training, total rewards, diversity, data analytics and general administration.

Essential Functions :

  • Act as main point of contact for our production associates; resolve employee questions ensuring all HR and compliance related policies and procedures are carried out appropriately.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives including survey administration, data analysis, feedback sessions and execution of related programs.
  • Own the hourly production recruiting and temp conversion process with a focus on enhancing employee experience and improving the selection process.
  • Continuous improvement around effectiveness of existing HR processes; partner with leadership to ensure effective roll-out of HR programs and employee communications.
  • Perform tactical HR tasks related to talent acquisition, onboarding, and offboarding (process new hire paperwork, scheduling interviews, conduct new hire orientations, etc.)
  • Create and maintain accurate employee records and provide monthly headcount reports, compliance related filings, and ad-hoc reports as needed.
  • Support other HR objectives as assigned.

Education & Experience Required :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field, or equivalent. Master’s degree a plus.
  • 3+ years of general HR experience including employee relations, engagement, recruiting, analysis, and general HR administration.
  • Proficiency in the full Microsoft Office suite as well as maintaining data within a HRIS and ATS.
  • Knowledgeable in federal and state employment laws.
  • Ability to recognize and diffuse difficult situations.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to understand data trends, evaluate and make recommendations.

Desired Skills :

Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Experience managing cross-functional process improvements or policy changes that will impact the organization.

The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.

Employees will be required to wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which may include eye, hearing and respiratory protection, protective smock, steel toe shoes, gloves, hard hats, or face shields.

Contact lenses may not be allowed in some areas.

The associate must also be willing and able to travel by all forms of transportation.
