Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) designed to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Provide differentiated instruction to students with disabilities, ensuring their access to the general education curriculum.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student progress and educational goals.
• Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and tools to engage students in active learning and skill development.
• Regularly monitor and assess student progress, making instructional adjustments as necessary to meet each student's needs.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress to parents and school staff.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment where all students feel valued and encouraged.

Qualifications :

• Must hold a valid Illinois teaching certification in Special Education.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Previous experience working with students with special needs is preferred.
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
