Job Responsibilities :

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE MARTIN TRUST CENTER FOR MIT ENTREPRENEURSHIP, Sloan School of Management, to create academic and programmatic strategy for the center and ensure that the collection of classes and programs offered align with the strategy.

Responsibilities include :

  • Teaching entrepreneurship courses.
  • Leading programs and serving as a mentor to student teams.
  • Acting as an ambassador of entrepreneurship education and MIT's perspective on it to students, alumni, potential donors, and members of both the local and global entrepreneurship ecosystem.
  • Serving as the managing director's right hand, representing and leading the center during absences, and collaborating with the director of administration and business management on administrative and operational decisions.

Job Requirements :

  • REQUIRED : bachelor's degree; at least ten years of administration experience, preferably focused on entrepreneurship activities which could include building, running, and scaling a company (or companies) or another entrepreneurial organization of relevance;
  • excellent interpersonal, negotiation, conflict resolution, management, and written and oral communication and presentation skills;

and ability to collaborate with and influence colleagues and senior leaders internally and externally. PREFERRED : MBA or another advanced degree and experience in higher education.
