Duties :
- Represent clients in commercial real estate transactions, ensuring all legal requirements are met.
- Draft, review, and negotiate real estate leases and related documents.
- Oversee and manage commercial real estate purchase and sale transactions.
- Provide legal advice on real estate investment and development projects.
- Conduct due diligence on real estate transactions, including title searches, zoning issues, and environmental concerns.
- Liaise with clients, brokers, and other attorneys to facilitate smooth transactions.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal real estate laws and regulations.
- Resolve real estate disputes through negotiation, mediation, or litigation if necessary.
- Advise clients on real estate financing and refinancing strategies.
- Prepare and present reports on real estate market trends and legal risks.
Requirements :
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial real estate law.
- Extensive knowledge of real estate leasing and commercial real estate purchase and sale transactions.
- Proven track record of managing complex real estate transactions.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in legal research and the use of legal databases.
Education :
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the New York State Bar Association.
Certifications :
Real Estate Law Certification (preferred but not required).
