Movement Search & Delivery is actively looking for qualified Plant HR Managers with prior experience in the Life Sciences sector, including Medical Devices, Biotech, and Pharmaceuticals.
Position Overview : The Plant HR Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the human resources function within our manufacturing facility.
This position focuses on fostering a positive work environment, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and aligning HR strategies with business objectives in the Medical Device, Biotech, and Pharma industries.
Key Responsibilities :
Recruitment and Talent Management :
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent.
- Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring new hires are integrated smoothly.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and create succession plans.
Employee Relations :
- Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
- Foster a culture of open communication and collaboration.
- Mediate and resolve employee conflicts, ensuring adherence to company policies.
Performance Management :
- Implement performance appraisal processes and provide guidance to managers.
- Facilitate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
- Monitor employee performance and provide coaching as needed.
Compliance and Policy Development :
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Develop and update HR policies and procedures to reflect best practices.
- Conduct audits and risk assessments related to HR practices.
Compensation and Benefits :
- Manage payroll and benefits administration, ensuring competitive compensation structures.
- Analyze and benchmark compensation and benefits to remain competitive in the industry.
- Communicate benefits programs to employees and assist with enrollment.
Health and Safety :
- Collaborate with the Safety Manager to promote workplace safety and compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Facilitate employee training on safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Strategic HR Planning :
- Align HR initiatives with the strategic goals of the plant and organization.
- Analyze workforce trends and metrics to inform decision-making and drive improvements.
- Participate in leadership meetings to provide HR insights and recommendations.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably in medical device, pharma or biotech area.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Proficient in HRIS and MS Office applications.
