SUMMARY

The role of Director, Human Resources Business Partner is a strategic role. The Director, HR Business Partner supports the Vice Presidents for assigned area.

They work closely with the Business providing hands-on and strategic input, insight, and advice on people-related issues : talent management, employee relations, coaching / development, compensation, conflict management,

organizational development, and training. The Director, HR Business Partner plays an essential role in

establishing and driving HR programs / talent initiatives forward within their assigned area, while

always ensuring they align with the company's business objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Align the Human Resources Talent Agenda to the divisional operational agenda.

Partners with Leadership in their assigned area to

provide HR guidance on people initiatives to the drive business.

Act as a strategic thought partner to the divisional leadership.

Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the Business and HR groups to

develop solutions, programs, and policies.

Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough,

and objective investigations.

Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management

of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the

legal department as needed / required.

Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching,

counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).

Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build

morale, and increase productivity and retention.

Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.

Works closely with Talent Development team to identify talent needs, including

recruiting, learning, performance management, and succession planning, developing

solutions and resources to address.

Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.

Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows

up to ensure training objectives are met.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Director, HR Business Partner manages an additional Business Partner.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 10 years of experience resolving employee relations issues. 3+ years of management experience.
  • Deep knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines, including compensation

practices, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state

respective employment laws.

  • Prior Workday experience preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
