We are currently seeking a dedicated and inspiring Lead Yoga Teacher to join our team and support the Studio Owners and General Manager by providing programming expertise, onboarding, and continued coaching for the teaching roster of YogaSix Roseville, California.
This part-time position offers a competitive hourly rate plus a session rate for publicly led group classes. The average time commitment is approximately 5-15 hours per week, in addition to teaching time, depending on the studio's needs and stage.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE :
- Maintain a consistent presence while teaching and practicing at the studio
- Signed off on all 6 core class types
- Teach a minimum of 5 to 8 yoga classes per week, covering at least 4 different class formats
- Responsible for recruiting, auditioning, hiring, coaching, and developing teachers
- Have a strong understanding of YogaSix core formats, as well as distinguishing features between formats
- Ability to review sequences submitted for non-set formats (Y6 101, Y6 Slow Flow, Y6 Restore, Y6 Power, Y6 Sculpt & Flow) and provide feedback to teachers, General Manager, and Department of Education (if requested)
- Responsible for auditioning teachers for various class formats, as well as auditing existing teachers’ classes in various class formats for continued support
- Coach teachers in a supportive, empowering way by illuminating areas of growth and acknowledging areas of skill
- Submit audition evaluation form for each teacher to the studio manager
- Lead in-house format trainings (which include a full class experience) for training purposes

- Be able to step in as an authority figure in the studio as needed when the General Manager is not available
Requirements
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES MUST HAVE :
- Certified Teacher with experience in Vinyasa-style yoga
- Minimum of RYT 200hr Certified Yoga Teacher (500hr Certified Teacher preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience (E-RYT status preferred)
- Yoga Management experience is preferred
- Interest in evolving skills as a teacher and knowledge of various styles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to support people and deal with conflict professionally
- Ability to coach and develop teachers in refining their teaching techniques
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to adapt and embrace change in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, ClubReady and Mind Body Online are preferred
Physical Requirements :
- Ability to move freely within a heated room (up to 105 degrees) to demonstrate postures, and transitions, and monitor student movements
- Capable of providing hands-on adjustments to students as needed and upon request
- Ability to lead dynamic, energizing, empowering, and enjoyable yoga and fitness classes
- Ability to demonstrate exercises relevant to the class style, as often required
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying equipment weighing 1-20 lbs

Requirements
Successful Candidates Must Have : Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree (DPT) or Master of Physical Therapy Degree (MPT) from an accredited school Current Pennsylvania physical therapy license in good standing and all other state-required documentation At least 3 years of experience as a Physical Therapist with experience in outpatient settings preferred At least one year of experience running a clinic preferred Interest in providing both orthopedic and vestibular therapy (pelvic floor is a plus, but not required) Computer literacy and proficiency in CPT and ICD-10 coding procedures Experience in a fast-paced outpatient clinic preferred Basic business skills and a thorough understanding of the economics of running a physical therapy clinic BLS-CPR certification Must be eligible to work in the United States-we cannot accept international candidates at this time Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with a wide variety of people Curious and eager to learn
