The Director, Project Management - Lab Services will lead and manage complex, cross-functional projects from initiation to closure, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline while exceeding client expectations.
The candidate will utilize their extensive project management expertise and leadership skills to drive project execution, mitigate risks, and achieve strategic objectives.
What your day-to-day will look like :
- Project Planning & Execution :
- Develop comprehensive project plans within laboratory environments, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
- Define project objectives, key deliverables, and success criteria. Closely collaborate with solutions development, sales, and operations.
- Assemble and lead cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration and clear communication.
- Manage project execution, ensuring adherence to plans and proactively addressing deviations.
- Track project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Utilize data analytics to track project performance, identify trends and make informed decisions to optimize project outcomes.
- Stakeholder Management :
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key organizational and client stakeholders.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, address concerns, and ensure project buy-in.
- Proactively identify and resolve conflicts or issues that may impact project success.
- Team Leadership & Development :
- Motivate and inspire project team members to achieve high performance.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Delegate tasks effectively, empowering team members to contribute and grow.
- Process Improvement :
- Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes and methodologies.
- Identify opportunities to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
- Share best practices and lessons learned with other project teams.
