The Department of Art & Visual Culture at Whittier College invites applications for the Art 306 : Introduction to Web Design course (4 credits) in Spring 2025.
Salary : $2,100 per credit
Location : Whittier College (Main Campus)
The position is for in-person instruction on Mondays and Wednesdays, 1 : 30-4 : 20 p.m., with classes beginning January 15, 2025.
Course Description
This project-based class will serve as an introduction to front-end’ web design. Students will learn how the internet works and what makes a great website tick.
After a brief introduction to coding (HTML and CSS) the course will focus on industry-standard web design software. Students will develop fully functional websites that look great on any computer or mobile device.
These websites can advertise a student's skills, show off their artwork, or promote an event.

Minimum Qualification
MFA required and a strong background in graphic design are required.
