Position Overview
We are seeking a driven and highly organized Director of Sales to join our Sales team. The Director of Sales will lead a team of territory-based Account Executives in the pursuit of generating revenue with new and existing business, directing marketing and pipeline growth strategies, and ensuring best quality customer satisfaction from initial outreach through final installation.
Qualified candidates will have at least five (5) years of direct experience managing a high-performing Sales team and selling technical solutions.
This role is an in-person role based in any of our Dallas, Oklahoma City, or Tulsa offices.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management : Lead and mentor a team of territory-based Account Executives to achieve sales targets by establishing and enforcing a Sales Team operating rhythm.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance sales culture by creating standard operating procedures and guides for Sales tools.
Performance Monitoring : Track and report on sales performance metrics, and ensure that pipelines are robust and updated regularly.
Conduct informal coaching and performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and take corrective action when necessary to ensure the team meets revenue goals.
Marketing and Pipeline Development : Direct marketing initiatives and work with Digi's Marketing Specialist to generate leads and enhance brand visibility.
Oversee pipeline management to ensure a steady flow of prospects and conversions and adjust marketing strategies in order to supplement territories and pipeline needs.
Budget Management : Manage sales and marketing budgets effectively, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently for trade show selection, client events, and marketing campaigns to support growth initiatives.
Requirements
- Management Experience : 5-10+ years of formal management of a high performing sales team.
- Technical Knowledge : 5+ years of selling a highly complex technical solution with focus on building out greenfield territories and landing new business;
proven success working on complex / large deals. Preference given to candidates with direct experience in the technology, security integration, or network based system sectors.
- Platform Knowledge : Experience with the following platforms - Salesforce, ConnectWise Manage, SiteOwl, Microsoft Office a plus.
- Leadership : Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing Sales teams in a multi-state environment.
- Drive : Direct experience working in a fast-paced dynamic environment with a strong sense of urgency, and evidence of exceeding performance expectations and sales quotas.
- Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with technical teams, clients, and executive leadership.
- Education : Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- Travel : Must be willing to travel up to 30% in order to meet Digi team and territory needs.
