As a Nurse Practitioner at Advocare Newark Pediatrics, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality healthcare to pediatric patients. This position is essential for enhancing patient outcomes and supporting our commitment to family-centered care.

Advanced Practice Nurse Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of pediatric patients to determine their healthcare needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with families and healthcare teams.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Provide education and counseling on family planning, infectious disease prevention, and overall health maintenance.
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions, including emergency situations as they arise.
  • Perform airway management and other critical interventions when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with ICD-10 coding standards.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

  • Requirements :

    Advanced Practice Nurse Qualifications

  • Board Certified Advanced Practice Nurse licensure required
  • Graduate degree from an accredited nursing program, such as a Master of Science in nursing
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric care principles and practices.
  • Experience in emergency medicine or acute care settings is preferred.
  • Proficient in medication administration and sterile processing techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and families.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
