Job Description
SNI has partnered with a reputable manufacturing company near Waterbury who is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their growing team.
Responsibilities include :
- Analyze current manufacturing state and develop action plans using Lean techniques to drive faster changeovers, reduce errors, standardize processes, decrease downtime, and increase OEE
- Manage Continuous Improvement Projects, lead initiatives, provide updates, set goals, establish priorities, and manage project resources
- Utilize Lean principles to design and implement new manufacturing processes, methodologies, and equipment layouts to enhance overall equipment effectiveness
- Evaluate plant performance relative to goals and adjust action plans accordingly
- Possess a strong understanding of Lean principles, Manufacturing, and Injection Molding floor operations
- Analyze process flow and value stream layouts, offering recommendations for improvement
- Identify and implement modifications to enhance efficiencies and overall plant performance
- Optimize manufacturing processes and equipment, including addressing product non-conformance and root cause analysis
- Support the development and improvement of Technical Operating Instructions
- Design and implement new manufacturing processes and equipment, including documentation and training
- Support new automation initiatives and provide lead support post-launch Desired Skills and Experience :
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Manufacturing
- 3 to 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Six Sigma training and experience
- Ownership and accountability for areas of responsibility
- Effective communication skills across all organizational levels
- Ability to develop and manage project timelines and budgets
- Experience with plastic injection molding
- Proficiency in software tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Solidworks
- Experience with automation projects and PLC programming is a plus Full-time Benefits :
