Job Description

SNI has partnered with a reputable manufacturing company near Waterbury who is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their growing team.

Responsibilities include :

  • Analyze current manufacturing state and develop action plans using Lean techniques to drive faster changeovers, reduce errors, standardize processes, decrease downtime, and increase OEE
  • Manage Continuous Improvement Projects, lead initiatives, provide updates, set goals, establish priorities, and manage project resources
  • Utilize Lean principles to design and implement new manufacturing processes, methodologies, and equipment layouts to enhance overall equipment effectiveness
  • Evaluate plant performance relative to goals and adjust action plans accordingly
  • Possess a strong understanding of Lean principles, Manufacturing, and Injection Molding floor operations
  • Analyze process flow and value stream layouts, offering recommendations for improvement
  • Identify and implement modifications to enhance efficiencies and overall plant performance
  • Optimize manufacturing processes and equipment, including addressing product non-conformance and root cause analysis
  • Support the development and improvement of Technical Operating Instructions
  • Design and implement new manufacturing processes and equipment, including documentation and training
  • Support new automation initiatives and provide lead support post-launch Desired Skills and Experience :
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Manufacturing
  • 3 to 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience
  • Six Sigma training and experience
  • Ownership and accountability for areas of responsibility
  • Effective communication skills across all organizational levels
  • Ability to develop and manage project timelines and budgets
  • Experience with plastic injection molding
  • Proficiency in software tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Solidworks
  • Experience with automation projects and PLC programming is a plus Full-time Benefits :
