We are seeking a part-time APRN to work Thursdays and Saturdays from 9 : 00 AM to 9 : 00 PM.

Key Responsibilities :

• Obtain health history and perform physical examinations.
• Diagnose and direct counseling for each patient on a plan for treatment.
• Prescribe medication in accordance with Florida statute regarding APRN.
• Perform minor surgical procedures as authorized by supervising physician.
• Arrange referrals for patients requiring services not offered at the health center.
• Review incoming reports (e.g. lab, X-ray, EKG) sign, date, and follow-up in a timely manner.
• Participate in staff outreach and off-site health care programs in the health center service area as assigned by the Medical Director.
• Supervise students in training at health center clinics as assigned by the Medical Director.
• Comply with the health center Infection Control Plan which includes personally utilizing universal precautions.
• Ensure compliance by support staff.
• Participate in peer review, quality assurance, provider meetings, and other clinical meetings.
• Assist in updating protocols and principles of practice as requested.
• Participate in pharmacy activity as appropriate.
• Assist in outside medical public relations functions.
• Share telephone calls with physicians.
• Adhere to UDS productivity standards and meets at least the minimum requirement.
• Participates in all safety programs, which may include assignment to an emergency response team.
• All providers are responsible for participation in any ongoing quality improvement activities in the clinical area.

QUALIFICATIONS :

The Clinic is the primary site of employment. The Clinic provides no professional liability protection for moonlighting.

PHYSICAL / MENTAL DEMANDS : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; talk or hear, taste or smell. The employee frequently is required to sit and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
