We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Cook to join our Dining and Nutrition Services department. The Cook is responsible for the preparation of foods for patient's and / or employee meals as per position responsibility sheet.
Responsible for maintaining high standards of quality food production and portion control using established procedures, and standardized recipes.
Responsible for using appropriate quantities of food needed to meet production needs. Responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary work area as well as following food safety guidelines.
Demonstrates an understanding of, and embraces, the mission statement of Christian Health.
- Practices the proper techniques for personal hygiene, food safety, and sanitation of work area.
- Demonstrates the ability to safely use, clean and store all equipment used within the scope of the job, including, but not limited to, knives, sharpeners, stoves, steamers, slicers, mixers and food processors.
- Correctly follows standardized recipes and prepares food in large quantities.
Schedule : Must be able to work the following shift : 11 : 00am-7 : 00pm. Will work every other weekend.
Education : High School diploma required.
