Health and Safety Specialist

EnSafe is searching for a Health and Safety Specialist to work as a contract consultant to support our client at an on-site location in Lawrenceville, GA.

This is a contract position for 4 months.

M-F, full-time, with the potential for the client to hire directly moving forward as a long-term employee. Relocation assistance will not be granted. Benefits included.

What we are looking for

A Health and Safety Specialist, motivated to support and implement our client's health and safety programs, primarily to foster a safe, healthy, and accident-free environment. The H&S specialist will be knowledgeable of OSHA regulations, along with applicable state and local safety policies, can audit, train onsite staff, and contractors.

What you will be doing :

Conduct health and safety audits, hazard and risk assessments, and incident investigations.

Provide Health and safety training in areas such as employee orientation, machine guarding, LOTO, confined space, fall protection, PPE, and hazardous waste.

Use training development tools and software to create, edit, and publish training content (e.g., PowerPoint, etc.)

Develop Job Hazard Analysis.

Gather data analysis, generate reports, and provide recommendations.

Provide updates to organization leadership, maintain dashboards, and continuously evaluate program performance.

Ensure environmental and safety requirements are prepared and maintained according to company policies, federal, state, and local laws, and regulations.

Engage with employee groups and supervisors daily, building rapport to create a healthy and safe work environment in this facility.

What you will need :

A BS degree in Health and Safety studies or equivalent relevant work experience.

Minimum 5 years of health and safety experience.

Working knowledge of OSHA regulations.

Previous experience in providing training sessions, H&S audits, and authoring reports.

Working knowledge of health and safety hazards associated with LOTO, machine guarding, confined space assessments, and job hazard analysis.
