About the Role :

Reporting to the Area Manager, this position is responsible for the overall operational and merchandising functions of the store to achieve maximum profitability and to continue to provide the best-in-class guest service.

Duties include managing inventory and budgets and hiring / training a quality core staff.

Essential Functions :

  • Generate sales, and demonstrate and maintain a professional standard of guest service.
  • Evaluate sales trends and create methods for sales growth.
  • Hiring, training, coaching, leading and maintaining a high-quality staff.
  • Function as a training resource for employees in POS, product knowledge, and sales.
  • Communicate company values and goals to the employees.
  • Monitor and control expenses as set within the budget.
  • Administer policies as may be necessary.
  • Administer company procedures, including cash handling, safety, and loss prevention.
  • Maintain merchandising and cleanliness standards.
  • Manage inventory control and meet or exceed inventory goals.
  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge of products and industry trends.
  • Maintain all company paperwork according to policies and standards.
  • Conduct performance reviews for coaching / development of staff regularly.
  • Other duties as assigned.

This role can be a seasonal or year-round, full-time role based on store profile.

Required Skills / Abilities :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of retail experience.
  • Minimum of three years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience in the snow sports industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task.
  • Familiarity with retail POS systems is preferred.
  • English fluency, written and verbal.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.

The budgeted range is $55,000 - $60,000 annually. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

Bonus eligible based upon company performance indicators.
