About The Position
Job Title : Respiratory Care Practitioner RRT Job Specialty : Pediatrics Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Must have RRT certification and experience in Pediatrics, NICU, and PICU settings Guaranteed Hours : 36 per week Experience : Two years of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting preferred License : Licensed by the relevant Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner Certifications : - Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care - Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association (required upon hire)- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (American Heart Association) (required within 3 months of hire) Must-Have : - RRT certification- NICU, PICU, and Pediatrics experience- Knowledge of respiratory therapy procedures and equipment- Strong clinical decision-making skills for pulmonary and cardiac care- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work under stress Job Description : Provide services for the Respiratory Therapy Department for all appropriate age levels and areas.
- Administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed by medical staff.- Record treatment information and patient responses in computerized medical records.
- Act as a resource for medical staff and perform diagnostic testing and monitoring.- Provide age-appropriate care to patients and ensure respiratory equipment is cleaned and maintained.
- Maintain necessary respiratory therapy records.- Participate in the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
