- Schedule : PRN, Varies, day shift hours including weekends and weekdays. Options :
Tier 1 : 3 full shifts per 6-week schedule, minimum of 1 weekend shift per 6-week schedule. Required to work 1 winter holiday shift
Tier 2 : 6 full shifts per 6-week schedule, minimum of 2 weekends shift per 6-week schedule. Required to work 2 holidays shift (1 in winter and 1 in summer)
Tier 3 : 10 full shifts per 6-week schedule, minimum of 3 weekends shift per 6-week schedule. Required to work 3 holidays shift (2 in winter and 1 in summer)

Responsibilities
Evaluate and treat patients requiring speech-language therapy.
- Perform therapy intervention utilizing standard therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient.
- Educate and counsel patient and family regarding treatment plan.
- Maintain clinical records and follow performance improvement recommendation.
- Plan and / or assist with patient discharge from speech therapy services.
- Provide information regarding appropriate support programs.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration :
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the Maryland Board of Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers and Speech-Language Pathologists obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association preferred.
Education :
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
degree / Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required
Additional Preferences
- Previous healthcare experience preferred
- Master's Degree required
- Applicants with experience in acute care Speech Pathology diagnostics including Clinical Dysphagia Evaluations, MBS, FEES and / or communication / swallowing recovery related to new tracheotomies will be considered.
- Candidates should expect to work 2 or more weekend shifts per month, rotating holidays, and weekdays as available for vacation coverage.
