As a Technical Account Manager with AWC, you will work directly with our technology partners in the Bryan-College Station TX market, and develop a deep understanding of their products.

You will interact with our sales team, engineering team and our customers to understand their applications and discuss how technology can be implemented for improvement.

You will strive to leverage agile design and development methods to create greater value faster, and to help our project teams execute to deliver as promised, on time and within budget.

The successful candidate must be innovative, passionate, and resourceful while demonstrating technical skills.

How You’ll make an impact :

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, building strong relationships, and understanding their technical requirements and business objectives
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products, services, and solutions that meet or exceed client expectations
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional products and services to existing clients, contributing to revenue growth and market expansion
  • Build profitable sales in an assigned territory through sales with current customers and demonstrate a commitment to prospecting and new business development
  • Conduct regular client meetings, presentations, and technical training sessions to deepen client engagement and promote product awareness
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and emerging technologies to anticipate client needs and provide strategic recommendations
  • Effectively manage account activities, including sales forecasts, pipeline management, and reporting, to achieve sales targets and objectives
  • Manage the entire sales process, from order placement to delivery and installation. Coordinate with internal departments, including engineering, procurement, and logistics, to ensure orders are fulfilled on time and according to customer expectations
  • Provide technical support and assistance to clients, addressing questions, resolving issues, and offering troubleshooting guidance as needed
  • Hunger to build by being a trusted go to expert
  • Teach concepts from the basics of electricity and motor control to complex SCADA database management and networking
  • Provide technical support for the following products / technologies : PLC, I / O, HMI, SCADA, Drives, Synchronized Motion Control, Networking, WiFi, Radios, Motor Controls, Control Panel Design, and Power Distribution

Skills you will need :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, (Mechanical or Electrical preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical sales, account management, or related roles within the industrial controls and automation industry
  • Strong technical background with process automation technologies and methodologies
  • Proven track record of successfully managing key client accounts and driving business growth through effective relationship management and solution selling
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset and a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Willingness to travel as needed

  • Solid foundational knowledge of electricity and electrical principals
  • 4-year bachelor’s degree / 2-year technical degree (preferred in an Engineering)
  • Technical expertise with PLC’s, I / O, HMI, SCADA, Drives, Synchronized Motion Control, Networking, Motor Controls, Control Panel Design, and Power Distribution
