The Role

Lumen offers a fully immersive, 10-week summer internship program. Our interns demonstrate curiosity, innovation, and a passion for advancing technology.

Program dates : May 30 - August 8, 2025.

Location

This position is fully remote / work from home.

The Main Responsibilities

As a Wholesale Sales internin our Customer Success organization, the Intern will work collaboratively with our wholesale sales team to assist with and lead sales of Lumen's product line such as data, voice, security, etc.

Tasks during the 10 weeks will focus on not only sales but partnership with our engineering group to determine capability of providing services.

Sales interns will have the potential to develop Account Management Skills including relationship development and quoting new services in this role.

• Develop communication skills utilizing all methods of media to contact and engage customers and leads.
• Develop team skills and working with a team of highly focused account managers to achieve individual and team sales goals and revenue retention.
• Review current billing revenue and engaged in upgrade / renewal discussions with customers.
• Utilize Lumen product libraries to develop and understand wholesale services.

What We Look For in a Candidate

Program eligibility is contingent on the candidate's commitment of the entire 10-week program. No exceptions will be made.

• Required qualifications
• Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior level education status at the start of the internship
• Graduating August 2025 - May 2027
• Preferred fields include bur not limited to : Business, Marketing, Sales, Telecom or other related field
• Intern must be able to work 40 hours per week during the 10-week program (May 30 - August 8, 2025)
• US work authorization is required. Individuals needing visa sponsorship are not eligible.
• Proficiency and understanding of :
• Microsoft Office Suites
• Salesforce experience is a plus
• LinkedIN and other social media platforms
• Sales experience is a plus
• Works well with Mathematics

Compensation

Internship compensation ranges depend on each individual's level of education, geographic location, and experience / qualifications aligned to the role.

Hourly Based Pay Range :

Min : $22.00 / hour

Max : $35.00 / hour

What to Expect Next

Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
