As an inpatient APP, we will support your professional growth through mentorship, specialty training, and exposure to complex cases that broaden your scope.

Qualifications :

  • Preferred at least 2 years of experience as an advanced practice provider in the inpatient setting. Gastroenterology experience is desired but not required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
  • Current national certification as Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
  • Current state license and registration.
  • Valid DEA license
  • Certified in BLS endorsed by the American Heart Association.
  • Responsibilities :

  • Perform new patient consultations and follow-up visits in the hospital setting.
  • Conduct history and physical examinations, establish presumptive diagnoses, and order appropriate laboratory studies and tests.
  • Interpret and evaluate findings of diagnostic testing.
  • Triage patients to determine the urgency of evaluation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.
  • Collaborate with supervising physicians, APPs, and other members of the patient care team.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and other care team members.
  • Consider individuals' cultural, psychological, social, and environmental factors in creating treatment and care plans.
  • Provide necessary patient education.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
