Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Ryan White Program - Infectious Disease Public Health Programs at its Detroit campus location.

Essential functions (job duties) :

Clinical Care. Performs appropriate clinical care of patients in the program in the clinic. Performs care in accordance with the standards of the clinic and federal guidelines.

Documents care appropriately in the medical record. Engages in ongoing professional development.

Program development. Working with the Principal Investigator (PI) and clinical leads, develops innovative care models to increase viral suppression among patients.

Emphasis on collaborative care model and team building and maintenance as well as strong networking skills.

Program evaluation. Develops and implement program evaluation systems and quality improvement projects in accordance with funder and program needs.

May participate in clinical research.

Unique duties : Qualifications :

Qualifications :

Education Master's degree

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, with Michigan licensure to practice as a nurse practitioner

or physician assistant. BSN preferred.

Experience Experienced (minimum 2 years of job-related experience)

Staff supervision experience. One to two years of nursing experience required with related research experience

in designated area of work preferred.

Working conditions :

Primarily works within a clinical setting. Exposure to clients with HIV. Travel maybe required for outreach assignments or professional development.

Some evening and weekend hours for on-call patient services and special events as requested. This position will be .90 FTE WSU and .

10 FTE Wayne Health (UPG) due to clinical services provided and billing responsibilities.
