Position Overview

We are seeking a QRM Application Support Engineer to join our team supporting Ally Financial . The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in managing, troubleshooting, and optimizing QRM applications within AWS cloud environments . This role requires a strong technical background in SQL, infrastructure automation, and cloud deployment, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the QRM product , ensuring high performance, reliability, and application stability.

Support continuity of business and disaster recovery operations.

Troubleshoot and manage QRM software installations, upgrades, and patches in AWS environments.

Collaborate with Agile / Scrum teams , participating in sprint ceremonies and technical discussions.

Develop use cases, process flow diagrams , and perform workflow analysis.

Create and maintain comprehensive technical and procedural documentation throughout the SDLC.

Work closely with business partners to analyze and resolve production issues .

Support MS SQL-based components , including reading / writing queries and maintaining SSIS packages.

Automate processes using Batch scripting and PowerShell .

Required Skills & Qualifications

5 8+ years of hands-on experience with MS SQL , including strong skills in writing queries and working with SSIS.

Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, Batch, and Step Functions.

Strong knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.

Proficiency with PowerShell scripting and creating Batch files and scheduled tasks.

Familiarity with CI / CD tools such as GitLab.

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), strong problem-solving ability, and the capacity to work in a matrixed, collaborative environment .

Ability to manage vendor relationships and perform under tight deadlines with a positive, proactive attitude.

Preferred Skills

Prior QRM software experience (installation, configuration, troubleshooting).

Bachelor's degree in computer science , Engineering, or a related field.

AWS certification(s) or equivalent hands-on expertise.

Experience with JSON-based Terraform templates .

Familiarity with analytical or financial modeling tools.
