Overview :
The Quality Business Partner - SNF partners with the skilled nursing area of campus in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating the training programs of direct and in-direct care team members.
This position ensures team member compliance with annual education requirements and is responsible for the coordination and oversight of team member health requirements.
What you’ll do : Administrative
Administrative
- Manage and schedule skills and sducation for the SNF areas.
- Conduct routine audits of training and Relias records. Provide updates to department managers and work with them to facilitate attendance / compliance.
- Attend SNF QAPI meeting.
- Ensure team member training records are current and accurate; notify department managers for non-compliance.
- Conduct tracking and reporting for new hires r / t TB testing, fit testing , skills completion, etc.
- Track call ins and positive covid follow-up as needed.
Training and Development
- Conduct weekly Skills Day for Nurses / Aides.
- Conduct Med Pass Class for Nurses / DCS / Med Techs.
- Develop and update education, training and quality related policies and procedures for the campus.
- Be a resource for and assist in developing and providing education and training as needed for other departments and locations.
- Ensure training offerings meet the compliance needs for each discipline.
- Provide On the Spot Education..
- Facilitate team member training of the facility's Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and provide support for troubleshooting software issues.
- Serve as liaison with external education institutes to create & coordinate learning opportunities / clinical rotations.
- Conduct CPR courses.
Community Engagement
- Manage and deliver Brio Buddy Program,
- Work closely with department managers to identify prospective Brio Buddies and be responsible for ensuring they are given the tools needed to effectively train and orient new team members.
- Support and assist with facilitation of Brio Living Services’ culture change initiatives.
- Engages in quality improvement initiatives, training initiatives, and other identified goals.
Relationship Building
- Partner with DON / Admin for training needs, creating annual aalendar of training.
- In conjunction with HR, ensure training offerings meet the compliance needs.
- In conjunction with the Quality & Education team coordinate annual team member and resident Flu clinic. Assist with coordination and offering of other required vaccinations, as needed / indicated.
- Assist with team members post training for problem resolution and further training needs.
Compliance
- In conjunction with department managers, ensure team members are compliant with mandated annual education and training regulations.
- Conduct rounds on SNF units.
- Do spot-check audits on the care units (med pass observation, etc).
- Provide identified education to team members on the units.
- Ensure team member training records are current and accurate.
- Provide oversight of the Relias Learning Platform.
- In conjunction with the Quality Associate, ensure new staff and current staff training records are current and accurate.
- Implement and maintain a system of directing, evaluating, recording, and reporting quality initiatives and training outcomes.
What it takes :
- Nursing degree required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in direct patient care, providing education and training, preferably in Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living environments.
- Position may require some occasional after hours or weekend availability to ensure proper training for all team members.
