Job Purpose

The Senior Software Development Engineer in Test [SDET] will be a hands-on technical contributor responsible for building, maintaining and scaling automated test frameworks for embedded software running on our precision field computer platform. The role focuses on developing a robust automated test cases based on system requirements, validating embedded to network communications and ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ISO11783, J1939, ISO25119 and NMEA 2000.

In addition to executing test automation, the SDET will mentor junior team members, share best practices and serve as a subject-matter expert on advanced software testing methods.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate test requirements, based on specifications, standard procedures, and internal / external requirements.
• Design, create and run automated test cases.
• Develop test plans and procedures.
• Execute and document tests.
• Identify and recommend test equipment, production equipment, fixturing, or tooling needed to meet product specifications.
• Prepare reports of testing data, evaluate, and provide recommendations based on findings. Lead or contribute input for improvements.
• Train team members on utilization of test equipment and procedures.
• Keep abreast of new developments in the fields of engineering design, methods, and applications.
• May assist with the request for quote process, as related to needs for the testing function.

The annual salary for this role is $84,375 - $112,500 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
