Summary
GENERAL SUMMARY :
Plans, organizes, directs and evaluates the work of personnel assigned to specific areas within the Bryan Radiology department. May supervise and be responsible for medical imaging teams such as MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Diagnostic X-Ray, Mammography, Interventional Radiology, Vascular Access, and outpatient Radiology teams. Works closely with Radiology physicians and other Radiology Managers to lead cohesive teams.

5. Oversees training of new personnel and provides for staff education to promote understanding and support.
6. Assists with the development of a long-range strategic business plan for Radiology including addressing equipment replacement, new technology, optimum staffing levels, forecasted procedural volumes, and introduction of new growth technologies.

8. Designs and maintains patient satisfaction strategies in coordination with fellow department managers.

15. Works collaboratively with other department Managers and ensures that meaningful leader / employee rounding is completed according to span of control expectations.

20. May work as a liaison with Radiation Oncology staff, other department leaders, and physicians to facilitate positive relationships and regulatory compliance between Bryan Medical Center and Cancer Partners of Nebraska
21. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
22. Participates in meetings, committees and department projects as assigned.
23. Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
1. Knowledge of the administrative and financial processes utilized within a hospital facility.
2. Knowledge of all aspects of diagnostic radiology.
3. Knowledge of quality improvement, budgetary and financial methods and practices.
4. Knowledge of computer hardware equipment and software applications relevant to work functions.
5. If assigned to manage the IR and VAT team, then must have knowledge of all aspects of Interventional Radiology and Vascular Access, and outpatient RN functions.
6. Knowledge of Radiation Safety practices for self, staff, physicians, and patients.
7. Ability to develop written policies and procedures, memoranda and performance evaluations with measurable behaviors.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
Must have a current Registered Nurse licensure from the State of Nebraska or approved compact state of residence as defined by the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act required. Bachelors degree in Nursing, Business Administration or related field required. Minimum of three (3) years experience in Radiology nursing required.
OTHER CREDENTIALS / CERTIFICATIONS :
Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required. Bryan Health recognizes American Heart Association (for healthcare professionals), American Red Cross (for healthcare professionals) and the Military Training Network.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
