Responsibilities of a School Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants COTAs :
- Assists Occupational Therapist staff in identifying and assessing students' skills and abilities
- Assists with the development of the occupational therapy intervention plan as part of the IEP process
- Assists with data collection and assessment with established service competency documented
- Provides assistance and training to school staff through consultation
- Works cooperatively with personnel from other agencies providing services to the student or family
- Performs related duties as assigned
