Material Reinvent Senior Quality Engineer (Solventum)

The Impact Youill Make in This Role

As a Material Reinvent Senior Quality Engineer , you will collaborate with diverse teams and make an impact by :

  • Leading quality planning for critical material redesign or replacement projects for Solventum medical / combination devices. Define and achieve critical-to-quality attributes while maintaining compliance with the quality management system.
  • Defining and implementing test methods and validation, stability, process validation, risk management updates, supplier assessments, and material design verification and validation strategies to satisfy design change controls and improve reliability and capability while meeting customer expectations.
  • Managing changes with a focus on patient safety by assessing risk impact and driving robust mitigations with cross-functional teams.
  • Pursuing united goals with cross-functional global teams across R&D, manufacturing, regulatory, product stewardship, business, clinical, and other functions.

Your Skills and Expertise

Minimum qualifications to set you up for success from day one :

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) AND three (3) years of Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, or Combination Product experience in a Quality or Product Engineering or Design Assurance function in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Additional Qualifications

  • Knowledge of medical device development and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 13485, ISO 14971)
  • Master's degree in Chemistry, Biology / Microbiology, Material Science, or related discipline
  • ASQ certification such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
  • Six Sigma experience / certification related to design and manufacture of new products
  • Skills include Quality Engineering, Design Controls, Process Validation, Risk Management, Test Method Validation, CTQ Definition & Control, Critical Thinking, Statistical Data Analysis, Continuous Improvement, strong communication and documentation, and ability to navigate complex regulated environments
  • Work Location, Travel, and Relocation

  • Work location : Hybrid. Travel to Maplewood, MN required.
  • Travel : May include up to 20% domestically / internationally.
  • Relocation Assistance : May be authorized.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship.
  • Compensation and Benefits

    Applicable to US Applicants Only : The expected compensation range for this position is $119,076 - $145,537, including base pay and variable incentive pay, if eligible. The specific compensation offered may vary based on knowledge, training, skills, location, and experience. This position may be eligible for a range of benefits (Medical, Dental & Vision, HSAs, Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
