About The Position
Job Title : Sterile Technician Job Specialty : Central Sterile Processing Center for Ortho / Sport Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 10-hour Night Shift Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years License : Yes, required to submit Certifications : BLS Must-Have : Experience in a Central Sterile Processing Center, especially in Ortho / Sport Job Description : Operate within the Central Sterile Processing Center for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.
- Responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, and packaging surgical instruments and equipment.- Ensure all instruments and equipment are ready for procedures and surgeries.
- Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines to maintain a sterile environment.- Collaborate with the operating room team and provide necessary support.
- Utilize the EPIC charting system efficiently.- Complete orientation and training sessions successfully.- Maintain high standards of quality and efficiency in instrument processing.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments. Notes : Orientation consists of 24 hours.- The role is in an acute care setting and does not require a BSN.
- This position is suited for candidates with experience in trauma-level care settings.
