American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 1-2 years of experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures and ACLS / BLS certification.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in an acute care hospital cath lab with a Magnet and Level III Trauma designationAdult cardiac patient population with procedures including diagnostic catheterizations, stent placement, PCI, PTCA, IABP, temporary pacemaker, PA line insertion, and left / right heart catheterizationsResponsible for hemodynamic monitoring, room circulation, EKG lead placement, access site prep, scrub procedures, and vascular closure systems4x10 hour day shifts, 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM, with on-call approximately one day per week and every 4th-5th weekendFloat as needed within scope, including possible float to affiliate hospitalsUses Excellian / Epic charting—Epic experience requiredScrubs are provided by the unitParking is available at a flat rateTeam structure includes multidisciplinary support in a teaching hospital environmentPre-start modules are required and compensatedTravelers must be able to complete fingerprinting per Minnesota requirements prior to startFloat to affiliate hospitals may be required per operational needsReturn staff must have a break of at least one year from their last shift as a perm employeeRTO restrictions apply—ideally no more than 5 days requestedCandidates living within 100 miles are eligible as this is a radiology positionAllina does not provide references post-assignment or for former permanent employees\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settingCurrent ACLS and BLS certifications requiredExperience required in cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, hemodynamic monitoring, IABP placement / removal, dysrhythmia interpretation, left / right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, PA line insertion, scrub procedures, and temporary pacemaker managementProficient in accurate monitoring, equipment setup, performing EKG lead placement, maintaining sterile field, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmiasExperience with Excellian / Epic EMR requiredFirst-time travelers accepted with minimum of 2 years cath lab experience scrubbing and monitoringPending state license accepted; MN license must be obtained if required—license required if applicable\n Benefits\n
