• of L&D Beds : 16 labor rooms and 9 antepartum rooms
• of OR Suites on the unit for C-Sections : 3
• of Triage beds : 7 bed triage unit where they assess patients who are greater than 20 weeks with pregnancy complaints
• of Postpartum beds : 36
• of Births per day? Month? Year? : Up to 400 per month
• Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios? : 1 : 1-2 labors, 1 : 2-3 antepartum
• Common diagnoses / Types of patients : High-risk OB and routine obstetric care
• Are RNs required to titrate drips? : Yes
• Common titratable & / or set rate drips : Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, pain meds
• Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? : Charge on Both Shifts
• Are there nurse aids / surgical techs on this unit? Duties? : 2 OBTs per shift
• OB / Neonatologist in house 24 / 7? : 3 residents and 1 supervising MD on the floor at all times
• Anesthesia in house 24 / 7? : CRNAs on the unit 24 / 7
• RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot? : Nasal cannula
• Are there Tele / Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?

Tele in recovery after a c-section

• EFM System : Obix
• Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) : 0, 1 Self scheduling, can accommodate most schedule requests
• Weekend Requirements : Every third weekend, but could be up to every other based on unit need
• Holiday Requirements : 1 major, 1 minor
• Floating Requirements : Will float to Postpartum, occasional float to the house to be a "sitter"
• Scrub Color / Dress code : Surgical scrubs provided
• How many shifts of unit / department specific orientation? : 2-3 shifts

United Staffing Solutions Job ID . Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
