Responsibilities

  • Patient Care : Deliver compassionate and evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
  • Monitoring : Utilize advanced monitoring technology to assess and interpret vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and other relevant data.

Respond promptly to changes in patient status.

  • Collaboration : Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive and effective patient care.
  • Critical Thinking : Apply advanced critical thinking skills in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans for complex medical conditions.
  • Advocacy : Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, providing emotional support and ensuring their needs are met throughout the care journey.
  • Documentation : Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Education : Provide patient and family education on medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
  • Quality Improvement : Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and contribute to the ongoing improvement of nursing practices within the ICU.

Qualifications

  • BSN or currently enrolled.
  • DC RN License, or eligibility
  • Critical Care experience : 1 year full time experience or 2 years part time experience
  • ACLS
