Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Cath Lab Technologist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : ASAP Duration : 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 10 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist for a Level 2 trauma acute care setting with experience in both panning and scrubbing in cardiac cath lab procedures. Responsibilities Work in a cardiac cath lab with 3 procedure rooms handling an average of 4 cases per day Cases include emergent revascularization, left and right heart catheterizations, peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures, cardioversion, TEE, device implantations, pericardiocentesis, and temporary pacemaker placements Utilizes EPIC EMR, Philips Xper, Siemens C-Arm, IABP, Impella, Shockwave, Laser, IFR / FFR, IVUS, and Rotapro Monday through Friday 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM with call 1-2 days per week and every third weekend on call (24-hour call on weekends, 20-minute response time required) Floating may be required to Heart and Vascular Pre / Post for helping hands Level 2 trauma environment with support from an intensivist MD in house 24 / 7 and charge tech coverage each shift Dress code / scrubs provided and lead apron supplied Main duties include scrubbing in or panning for procedures and starting IVs; majority of responsibility will be panning Unit / department specific orientation provided during the first week (classroom and lab) Candidates must not have held employment (full time, part time, PRN) at any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year Radius rule of 50 miles applies RTO (up to 7 days per 13 week contract) must be requested upfront; no additional RTO can be approved post-submission Weekend, weeknight, and holiday call is required; schedule posted 17 days in advance for 6-week blocks Lock for locker and hospital-designated shoes must be brought by the candidate Medical testing and vaccination requirements may apply Department lead manages scheduling Requirements Minimum 1 year experience in a cardiac cath lab or similar acute care setting Current ARRT or RCIS certification and BLS required If ARRT credentialed, active ND Radiologic Technologist License required as applicable If RCIS credentialed, no ND license required unless panning / activating fluoroscopy is performed ACLS certification required Radiation badge must be supplied prior to start Experience with panning and / or scrubbing is acceptable, with the majority of the role focused on panning Experience with IABP, Impella, IV starts, Shockwave, Laser, IFR / FFR, IVUS, Rotapro, and manifold preferred EPIC charting experience preferred License required if applicable Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-602972.
