- A large hospital in Arizona is looking for experienced Medical-Surgical RN's for a travel assignment.
- The right candidate will have two years of experience (rehab experience is a plus).
Job Requirements
- Hold an active BLS.
- AZ license or compact required.
- LEVEL I TRAUMA EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
- Basic Dysrhythmia Exam Required PRIOR to sending the contract.
- 2 attempts for the Basic Dysrhythmia Exam, if failed, candidate is DNU with CS AZ and Sacramento for 6 months.
Schedule Information
- Shifts : per job posting.
- Techs - Start times 630a, 3p, 1130p.
- Weekend Requirement : 4 weekend shifts in an 8 week period.
- Holidays : Work into core rotation.

- IV Team : SWAT RN available for difficult IV sticks.

- Floating : Yes, any MedSurg unit.
- Floor specific orientation : 2 shifts.
- Common diagnosis / Types of patients : 90% neuro population, low stimulation area, TBI, brain tumor resection, CVA, lung transplant, liver transplant.
- Busy times : 6-9a, 630-9p.
- Interdisciplinary team rounds.
- 5 / 7 days, 3hrs per day therapy.
- Average LOS 19-21 days.
- Nurses need to be comfortable with high level of communication and personal involvement with patients and family.
- Partnership of care.
- Acute MedSurg care (IV therapy, wounds, etc.);
- 12 hour nights, 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks, 2 out of 3 major holidays
