American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for inpatient and outpatient wound care with at least 1 year of experience and BLS certification.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is based in a Level I Trauma, acute care, teaching, and children's hospitalPrimary service is inpatient rehab with wound care for both acute and complex outpatientsCovers wound care needs including debridement, advanced dressing selection, and wound vacsPartners with surgical teams such as plastic surgery, trauma, vascular, orthopedics, and othersCases include complex traumatic, surgical, and chronic wounds such as venous and arterial ulcersNo weekend, call, or floating requirementsDay shifts, either 5x8 or 4x10 schedules are availableUses Cerner for charting; EMR experience preferredPosition does not accept local candidates living within 75 miles of the facilityResponsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and reassessment of care for wound management patientsProcedures include NPWT, assistive device training, pain and sensory assessment, and skin integrity managementWorks closely with multidisciplinary surgical teams to optimize patient outcomesDay-to-day documentation is completed in CernerCeil blue scrubs requiredCOVID vaccine is mandatory unless an exemption is completedFirst-time travelers are acceptedRTO for more than 7 days requires approval and no RTO allowed in first or last 7 days of contractTravelers must be fully available for onboarding and compliance within the first 1-2 weeks after signingPerm employees may return as travelers if they have been away for at least 12 months\n \n Requirements\n
Current BLS certification requiredNM physical therapy license required or must be obtained before start (pending license accepted)At least 1 year of experience in physical therapy, with wound care experience preferredNew graduates will be consideredAbility to perform selective debridement, advanced dressing selection, NPWT, and complex wound managementCompletion of COVID vaccination or approved exemption form requiredDriver’s license or written transportation plan required if no valid DL is available for complianceLicense required if applicable\n Benefits\n
