Finding the right fit :
Ayres is seeking a confident and motivated project manager to be a key contributor to the growth of our River Systems Health discipline for our Stream and Stormwater group in Colorado.
As a project manager within Ayres, you will have access to highly experienced rivers and stormwater engineering staff to help you successfully deliver quality projects to our clients.
You will also be supported by your fellow project managers and supervisors within the company as well as upper management to help ensure as much success as possible.
Success as a project manager will be defined by your ability to :
- Develop client relationships; identify, pursue, win, and manage river systems health-related projects.
- Manage clients and resources for river systems health-related projects.
- Train and work with the team in advancing the state of practice.
On any given day, you'll :
- Take the lead in successfully marketing and winning river systems health projects including stream restoration, stream stabilization, and post-fire mitigation projects.
- Manage clients, working to ensure projects within the river systems health discipline are completed on time and with high quality.
- Develop technical approaches and fee estimates.
- Perform technical writing (proposals, memos, reports, presentations, etc.)
- Work with the Western Division admin team to prepare and negotiate contract documents, including client documents, sub-contractor documents, construction management documents.
- Build and maintain respectful working relationships with fellow co-workers and leaders within the company.
- Be an active participant in regularly scheduled group meetings to discuss project pursuits, workload, and resource utilization.
- Actively engage in local, statewide, and / or national professional organizations.
- Participate in office-wide, social events.
Required Qualifications :
- A bachelor's degree in a related field (i.e. engineering, geology, environmental studies, or a closely related discipline).
- Knowledge of software used in stream restoration projects.
- 5 to 15 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Base level understanding of financial project management
- Ability to travel throughout the year.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
Desired Skills and Experience :
- A master's degree in a related field (i.e. engineering, geology, environmental studies, or a closely related discipline).
- Experience in watershed health projects, stream restoration, post-fire mitigation, water resources, and hydraulic or hydrologic engineering.

Our good-faith compensation approach is fair and equitable, and takes into consideration only permissible factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, training, skills, and experience, and geographic location where the work is performed.
A salary range for this posting is $110000 - $145000. The foregoing salary range represents what the company believes, in good-faith, it will pay for the posted opportunity.
