Material & Equipment ManagerVee-Jay is a concrete contracting company with a passion and understanding of the construction industry and the tools to accomplish the job.

This position is responsible for the overall management of the yard for Vee-Jay Cement Contracting.Key Activities :

Procurement, Warehousing, & Distribution

Equipment & Tool Management

Facilities Management

Inventory OversightResponsibilities :

Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow. Revises schedule according to work order specifications, established priorities and availability or capability of workers and equipment.

• Supervise, mentor and coach yard personnel as it relates to company policies and procedures.
• Ensure high level of safety adherence to safety policies and procedures for yard personnel.
• Monitor weekly & monthly inventory reports and analysis of usage.
• Work closely with Cost team to ensure proper monthly billing for equipment and tools.
• Maintains communications with Shop Manager to ensure a maintenance plan for all tools and equipment is in enforced.
• Provide oversight of equipment inventory management to reduce theft, loss, and increase equipment utilization.
• Researches new tools, equipment, and methods to increase material / equipment inventory control and equipment usage.
• Identify and implement new work processes where needed.Direct Reports :
