About The Position

License : Valid RN license required

Certifications : BLS required by start date

Must-Have :

• Previous charge experience preferred
• Strong ability to manage various acuity types and care for all patients, including ICU / PCU patients

Description :

Bed Side Shift Reporting (BSSR), utilization of AIDET, and hourly rounding are required for this unit and all RN units.

Barcode scanning must be 95% to be eligible for an extension.

Less than 95% could result in a cancellation.

ASAP start is required.

Mandatory call as needed and weekend coverage is required every other weekend.

Candidates must have experience in managing cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration.

Knowledge and experience with the care of ventilated patients and the administration of blood products is essential.

The RN will have responsibilities including the management of arterial lines, central lines, tracheostomy care, and compliance with isolation precautions.

Expect a daily patient census of 8-10 patients, with a patient ratio of 6 on days.

Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, and social services.

Patient diagnoses primarily include medical and orthopedic, as well as general surgery.

Staff is required to complete all compliance and credentialing requirements within specified timelines prior to starting.

Holiday request time off is only accepted for one holiday during the assignment.

All RN staff are expected to adhere to facility policies regarding shift reporting and hourly rounding procedures.

Candidates should be prepared for the responsibilities of floating within the facility as needed.

References from previous supervisors may be required.
