Natchaug Hospital is looking for a Behavioral Health Nurse Supervisor to oversee the Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, active RN license in Connecticut, and at least three years of acute care charge or supervisory experience, with at least one year preferred in a psychiatric setting.
The role involves ensuring the appropriate delivery of direct and indirect patient care and providing leadership in the absence of the unit manager or director.
The supervisor will also collaborate with the CLC for admissions and internal / external patient transfers, establish priorities, and model teamwork and collaboration within the department.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required, Masters preferred
- Active Registered Nurse license from the State of Connecticut required
- Three years of acute care charge or supervisory experience required, with at least one year preferred in a psychiatric setting
- Progressive leadership experience
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) provider
- Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills
