Position Summary :

The Director of IT Applications will be hands-on, developing and managing multiple development teams and projects. This role is expected to lead the development teams, architecture designs in the realm of data integrations, systems integrations, and support of existing and new applications.

Essential Job Functions :

  • Hands-on development, design, architecture diagrams
  • Design and develop data integration solutions
  • Design and develop system integrations
  • Perform frequent technology knowledge transfers to development teams
  • Manage development teams by using Kanban and Agile Scrum methodologies
  • Drive due dates and task completion for technology teams
  • Lead project meetings with stakeholders, users, and technical teams.
  • Understand business and system processes. Analyze different business metrics and conduct gap analysis and process optimization.
  • Maintain good relationship with IT product team
  • Proactive contributor to technical roadmaps
  • Go-to for technical solutions
  • Drive high-level quality standards
  • Act as a liaison between business and technology teams to drive and facilitate requirement and design sessions and clarifications throughout the project lifecycle
  • Strong analytical, organization, and communication skills accompanied by flexibility to quickly adapt in a fast paced, changing environment.
  • Create both user workflows and technical documentation
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the activities enumerated above

Education / License Requirements :

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent degree / experience

General Experience Requirements :

5-7 years experience as a development manager

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Managed multiple teams
  • Managed both small and larger cross-departmental projects
  • Proven knowledge of Agile Scrum and Kanban methodologies
  • Clear and strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
  • Experiencing with data measuring, analytics, and reporting

Bonus Qualifications :

  • Experience with Apparel Business Solutions ( ABS ), iSeries (IBM) and RPG development
  • Skill using John Galt ’s DME Forecasting software
  • Experience in ERP, Forecasting, Warehouse Management, and customer service in a pick-and-pack shipping environment
  • Strong operational and development knowledge using Business Intelligence tools (Power BI)
  • Tech stack : .NET stack (C#)JavaMuleSoftPower BIRPG (IBM iSeries)SQL Server Development, design, Integration Services (SSIS)Preferred AWS (Amazon) certification (or Microsoft or Google)Microsoft Azure DevOps experienceRoadmap creation managementSprint creation managementTeam managementCustom dashboards for team management
